Kerbub

So Glycerine is a food additive? Or nitro-glycerine?

These are dumb lyrics. Why did I ever sweat so much trying to write?

Santogold... so that's what it's called.

Yes, I like it. You can trace its lineages but it sounds novel. The remixes with the guest DJs are especially disorienting. The use of percussive sound effects reminds me of first hearing Tricky decades and decades ago (over at old greedy's flat in Manchester I think). Similar reggae roots.

Like Outkast, operating from a dance music base but incorporating some guitar-based pop elements. I hear shades of the Pixies in more than one place, an in Outkast.

This is pump-you-up music, which I so rarely listen to but enjoy it when I do. Aggressive lyrics appropriate for self-pumping so I may enter a competitive job market and put food on my family. And yeah the singer is giving 100%, fearless, jumping styles. I love to hear that.

Do you feel as I do, that you will never really think John Legend is the awesome vocalist he is supposed to be because he is too polished? Like so polished and rigidly affected that not enough gets through in the singing. You have to let the voice get untethered now and then. Well Ms. Santogold does not have that problem.

I heard this many years ago from my high school 'gifted' teacher. and she learned it from a smart person's conference, so i second this information as valid. better chance two smarties will make slightly less than average smart kid. but, for all you new parents or soon to be parents out there, i say, don't worry about the averages, thats like politicians following the polls too closely, or a self-fulfilling prophesy, you'll be all up in your kids face, expecting him/her to be dumber till he gets sick of the expectations and decides to prove you right

Not always, sure. But odds are better that the child will move closer to the mean than further from it. Or is it farther? Griffin and Charlotte might be ok after all.
